Worked for the WVDOH Technical Support Divison in the survey group for 8 years. As the UAS Program Manager I oversaw flight operations, airspace authorizations, and provided guidance to stakeholders to make informed decisions. I trained employees on the use of the latest survey equipment and software workflows. I combined data from conventional survey methods with data that was collected using remote sensing. After leaving the WVDOH I went to work for a multinational Asphalt and Aggregate Producer as their Survey Manager. I ensured that work was being done to FHWA Standards, built Machine Control files using plan data and Mobile LiDAR information that was collected and processed in house, and ensured that field staking was done to plan. In November of 2024 I accepted a position with Civil and Environmental Consultants to be an APM in the Survey/Geospatial group. I couldn't have found a better place to work. They truly are making the world a better place, especially my home state of West Virgnia. I am working out of their newest office in Hurricane, WV.
