Awarded Economic and Social Research Council funding to complete a full-time Education PhD. The aim of the research is to champion inclusive communicatve practices in support services accessed by multilingual migrant groups. I use linguistic ethnography to understand how refugee-support organisations in Glasgow draw on meaning-making resources in ways that affect the participation of community members.In all my work I seek to implement the principles of participatory education, lived-experience leadership, coproduction and trauma-informed practice. I am passionate about migrant language education, seeking ways to contest discriminatory language practices. As such, I investigate multilingual communication and translanguaging pedagogies, valuing and engaging the diverse linguistic resources of community members.

- Commissioning writers and editing articles for thecuspmagazine.com, an online arts magazine exploring the intersection between art forms- Writing features and reviews, planning publishing schedule and researching market- Marketing the magazine through online social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Reddit- Organised a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the magazine

- Taught ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) with adults and teenagers of all levels, from beginner to proficiency- Prepared students for exams, including IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL and Cambridge exams, as well as teaching Business English and English for Academic Purposes

- Content edited, copy-edited and wrote Student’s Book, Teacher’s Book and digital components for international and market-specific ELT (English Language Teaching) courses, secondary through to adult- Proofread and undertook detailed checks for print and digital, implementing market research- Templated digital content and prepared manuscripts and briefs for handover

- Taught teenagers, adults and young learners, 9 years and above- Delivered classes for up to 13 learners, beginner through to proficiency level- Prepared students for Cambridge ESOL exams, from First Certificate to Proficiency

- Developed the structure of new ELT (English Language Teaching) Exams courses, working with both new and experienced authors- Content edited and proofread exam preparation courses and online practice materials- Managed schedules and briefed freelancers and authors to deliver online skills practice - Conducted market research in North America and Asia

- Responsible for project management of Exams publishing for oxfordenglishtesting.com, where I streamlined workflow to halve production time from six months to three months- Built and trained a team of freelancers and in-house Production Editors to produce digital materials, including the line management of Production Editors and freelancers- Developed and delivered online components to meet requirements across a range of publishing groups, in collaboration with key stakeholders such as Editorial, Design and Marketing

- Managed the production stages of Applied Linguistics and Teacher Development titles- Carried out market research and inputted into strategic development- Wrote marketing copy for new titles, backlist and online
