These "promotional products" are a gigantic industry, responsible for the creation of thousands upon thousands of factories. As part of the Ethix Ventures team, I am working to make sure that socially-conscious organizations order their promotional products through SWEATFREE, UNION MADE, FAIR TRADE, and ECO-FRIENDLY suppliers...thereby enhancing the anti-sweatshop and environmental movements through purchasing power.This is difficult work because every organization works within budget constraints and finds it difficult to justify the 5-15% additional cost to make sure products are made with labor protections that avoid forced labor, child labor, sexual harassment, verbal abuse, unpaid overtime, hazardous conditions and other abuses.
