I assist long-term care insurance policy holders with locating suitable care options, while also reaching out to providers to gather documents to help process these clients' claims.Working for a long-term care insurance company was not something I planned on doing while in college. I studied Chinese, and after graduating (two weeks after), I was living in Shanghai and then Nanjing. Living abroad was a great experience, and I ended up staying there for two and a half years working as an English teacher.When I got home, I needed a job, and ended up where I am now. I found that I enjoy this type of work, and my days fly by as there is never a dull moment; if I’m not speaking with clients on the phone, I’m making outbound calls to providers to either get documents/forms, or to get these providers to complete said forms properly.Attention to detail is crucial, as errors can cause our clients’ insurance claims to be delayed. I pride myself on making sure all forms are completed properly, and all accompanying documentation has been provided.
