Key responsibilities include, but not limited to the management of the department’s resources effectively and in line with each distinct project requirement; managing the departments portfolio of internal and external projects including business change initiatives, process re-engineering and operational improvements: management of the departments risk an issues register; identifying and delivering ongoing operational efficiencies within the department ensuring client needs, quality, risks and timescales remain a priority. Other key activities include advising the national bid team with all things technical, advising potential new clients on our approach to system implementations and project methodology, utilising Prince 2 principals; assisting the Department Head with vendor management; Senior Supplier within the Project Board/Steering Group Committees on major implementation projects having overall accountability for the department’s project deliverables.
