• Company developed High Power RF Generators and High Power RF Impedance Matching networks used in plasma etching.
• Developed and designed firmware to control variable capacitors in feedback controlled system. System reduces reflected power to zero in some applications, and regulates current in other applications.
• Developed Firmware in C for the TI Sitara AM3359 Processor and the TMS320F2808 DSP using Code Composer Studios. System communication consisted of SPI, I2C, RS232, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, Ethernet, EtherCAT, and USB.
• Implemented stepper motors algorithms to regulate variable capacitor angular-speed and ensure angular position accuracy.
• Developed GUI in C# so Application Engineers can adjust performance parameters, such as max RPM speed, Proportional Feedback Gain, impedance matching algorithm types. GUI could also monitor tuning performance and RF.
• Created several Automation Programs to calibrate and validate Units, reducing assembly and testing time.
