Diageo is the world’s leading premium spirits company with a portfolio of more than 200 brands including Johnnie Walker, Don Julio Tequila, Smirnoff, and more. I was selected to be part of the third generation of interns working directly with the International Supply Chain in an area called Innovation and Brand Change Mexico as Supply Project Manager. During my stay, I’ve been able to work with people from all over the world in different kinds of projects but especially in Value Added Products for Buchanan’s, Black & White, and Don Julio. I was SPM for 4 different initiatives having full responsibility for the whole process, managing activities, and planning timelines with a multifunctional team located in Mexico, and the UK with full visibility of the commercial, marketing and technical perspectives.I was also part of an innovation cell that seeks to understand new consumer trends for the now, next and beyond considering the different challenges that the company is facing due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, developing strategies for different bottle formats through e- commerce seeking to innovate and improve the consumer experience around different digital platforms.
