Donor Care Supervisor
CurrentWorking with the Charge Nurse to supervise all on-session activity, including supervising the vehicle load and unload, the session set up and pack down and related paperwork. Working as part of the leadership team. Providing off-session support through the provision of a range of administrative activities required to support the successful operation of the team and their sessions. Supporting the Charge Nurse in organising session activities and deploying the team to ensure that donor throughput is as efficient and customer focussed as possible. Leading by example and maintaining Donor Carer proficiencies and deploying these skills when working on session on a daily basis.Additional training undertaken within the role:•Team Trainer: train and supervise new starters to work in accordance of SOP's and assess trainees in their competencies•Manual Handling Representative: ensuring the team are adhering to good manual handling practices and deliver annual manual handling training•Venue Assessor: assess prospective venues for their suitability and risk assess for future donation sessions•Effective Line Management: course designed to aid the transition into leadership and how to implement authentic leadership practices•Mental Health Champion: ambassador for the promotion of mental health well-being, offer support to colleagues and direct them to helpful resources such as the Employee Assistance Programme•Key Trainer: train and assess colleagues to operate session software
