• Primary focus was my role with the soybean trialing program out of the Elm River Research Farm to generate small plot data to support Syngentas’ soybean portfolio.• Worked with a team of researchers to execute major tasks including but not limited to planting, site maintenance, harvesting, data collection, data QC, and seed handling/processing.• Supported testing efforts to researchers in parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta who had little or no prior experience growing soybeans.• Attended and presented at internal crop tours to share knowledge and discuss to better understand future market needs.

• Primary focus was my role with the Carman Soybean breeding program to develop elite soybean varieties to support the Pioneer brand soybean portfolio.• Used company developed software and other programs such as Microsoft Excel extensively to execute program objectives.• Created experiments, mapped sites, oversaw planting preparations, data capture and QC, shipping seed across international borders for increase or other testing etc.• Played significant role in all field activities including field prep, planting, spraying, harvesting.• Was a member of the site safety committee and took a leading role in several of the Centre’s safety programs including Hot Works safety.• Took various soil samples and submitted for testing of SCN and Clubroot presence.• Assisted the other site teams during peak seasons when necessary. Some activities included corn planting, canola harvest, and greenhouse turnaround to name a few.*Was a summer student for Dupont Pioneer during Summer 2015

• Worked with a team of summer employees to manage research trials for the purposes of promoting current and developing future agricultural products. • Contributions included operating field equipment to plant, spray, mow and till research sites and demo plots.• Other responsibilities included but were not limited to maintenance of equipment, maintaining general cleanliness of the farm, organize and prepare for on farm tours, data capture.

• Responsible for serving customers/farmers by unloading grain trucks, testing grain samples, loading and delivering purchased seed or chemical for customer. • Maintained an organized chemical and seed shed as well as an up to date inventory log.• Over time with training I was eventually trusted to move and cycle grain responsibly through the elevator for blending, drying, and end storage purposes.• Other responsibilities included regular safety checks such as fire, electrical, and forklift safety inspections, regular cleaning of the elevator and the elevator grounds (cutting grass, spraying weeds).

• Responsible for completing assigned production tasks, which included preparation of materials, assembly, and final production. • Other responsibilities included assisting co-workers with assignments, keeping the workplace clean and safe from any hazardous tools or materials, and maintenance of equipment.
