In 2004, in the presence of tens of sovereigns, heads of state and heads of government, Daniel Charpentier designed and directed the International Ceremony for the 60th anniversary of the Normandy Landings and the Liberation of France; then he directed the Opening Ceremonies for the 17th Arabian Gulf Cup in Doha, Qatar.In 2005, 100,000 spectators watchedthe Anniversary Clebration of Moscow that Charpentier staged in front of Lomonosov University. In Lyon, France, 20,000 people gathered in Bellecoure Square, where Charpentier composed a fresco of illuminatation during the Festival of Light. In January 2012, in Equatorial Guinea, Daniel Charpentier designed the scenography and directed the Opening Ceremony of the African Nations Cup.
