- Handle and help oversee Recycling and Waste Reduction at the Parnassus, Laural Heights, and Mt. Zion Campuses.- Striving to get UCSF to it's Zero Waste Goal by 2020.- Help creating and supervising pilot project that reduced 890 tons of material annually from landfill and transitioned it to a permanent program.- Works with Recology to ensure all billing is correct, service is on schedule, and that we pass random waste audits.- Manages the team to ensure back of house operations are operating smoothly.- Establishing new partnerships with non-profits/for-profit in helping divert materials that are not easily recyclable.- Running waste data analysts to view trends or to target new problems.- Provides education to faculty, staff, and students so they can help UCSF reach it's Zero Waste Goal.

Also promoted food scrap recycling, home composting, and to answer any recycling or composting related questions · Attract local merchants to enroll in the City of Oakland's Bring Your Own Bag Program; Worked with merchants in promoting the message to customers · Monitored and supervised over 50 recycling and compost stations for 2009 and 2010 Art and Soul Festival that drew over 10,000 people to the event · Assisted in distributing recycling materials to apartment managers throughout the city
