Dr. Lee's educational journey is marked by a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in Sports Science and Physical Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Dr. Lee furthered his expertise by successfully completing an Executive MBA at CUHK to enhance his managerial skills. At Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI), he holds a leadership role overseeing various sports science departments such as the Scientific Conditioning Centre, Sport Biomechanics & Technology Centre, and Sports Information and External Affairs Centre. Dr. Lee's primary focus revolves around providing science-based, athlete-centered support for elite training programmes at HKSI. Embracing cutting-edge technology, Dr Lee catalyzes the digital transformation in sports science and medicine operations at HKSI and advocates the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics into elite sports training.Dr Lee's contributions extend beyond HKSI. He serves as the treasurer of the Asian College of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS), a role he has held since 2019. Aiming to advance exercise and sports science for the betterment of health, well-being, and performance across Asia and beyond. His commitment to alumni services and alma mater led him to take on the presidency of The Alumni Association of Shaw College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (SCAA) and The Federation of Alumni Associations of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK FAA). Furthermore, he holds the position of chairman at the Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association (HKEAA), aiming to consolidate the efforts of Hong Kong's elite athletes for societal contribution and local sports development. Prior to his leadership role at HKSI, Dr Lee was a faculty member in the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education at CUHK. His has an athletic background, competed as a full-time triathlete, and represented Hong Kong at the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His accolades include medals from the 2006 Doha Asian Games, the 2008 Asian Beach Games, and the 2009 China National Games.
