Not your average accounting professional. When my family moved to Canada in 1998, I was 14; I was not fitting in and lost. The move uprooted my whole life from my culture, and now I was in a vastly different culture, and I was an alien. While I was learning my new country's history, it was fascinating that Canada was born through the flames of WWI. Through the Victory at Vimy Ridge, The victory at the Vimy Ridge forged Canada's national identity. I came to believe that at Canadian Forces, I could find what I needed to do in this new country.During my 10 - year service with the Canadian Forces, I have encountered Canadians, good Canadians who believed in what they were doing. This inspired me to become a better person as a result. I will always be grateful for the opportunity that the Canadian Forces granted me. I have witnessed the bottom of the world and top of the world in multiple countries – thanks to deployments - and it became clear that finance is the key to prosperity and a stable foundation for a strong economy. I have transferred from the Canadian Forces to Canada Revenue Agency. In addition, I am currently taking a part-time accounting diploma. Also, I am a proud holder of the RPAS Advanced Pilot Certificate. Skills learned from the Canadian Forces are not forgotten as well. I am still applying the same degree of professionalism at my new position. I am learning new things every day and enjoy my life as much as possible.
