Scripps Co.)I trained, mentored and evaluated 5-6 employees among the larger staff of a centralized newspaper production desk in South Texas as senior editor from March-Sept. 2016. In this role I was the manager on duty some nights, overseeing a crew of about 15 while resolving conflicts and coordinating with remote editors across seven newsrooms. Prior to this, I served the company as a digital content producer and associate newspaper producer. The desk disbanded in late 2016 following the company's sale to Gannett.

In these roles I interviewed, hired and trained staff, and I produced a large volume of work while being advised and mentored by highly skilled journalists. As design editor, I oversaw design of four issues per week in addition to special sections.
