Particularly within the OHL and Substation sectors as platform for future works. • Developed key relationships with clients, our delivery teams and across business units to enable collaboration and development of tenders.• Hands on when needed to be and stepping into bid management on various tenders due to the high volume of workload experienced by the team in the past two years. Delaying with multiple tenders at any one time. • Leading team communication, structure and responsibility within precontract functions to drive continuous improvement and drive efficiency to improve performance of tendering activities

Project Manager – Design • Energy & Water (Precontract).• Responsible for the full identification, selection and management of all design and engineering works during the tender and preconstruction phases. This included all contract, scope, temporary works, programme, risk and design deliverables.• I grew a solid designer portfolio across all work streams whilst ensuring that all contract mechanisms and business governance has been adhered to prior to handover to the project team. • I oversaw the production of design and engineering material to support winning bids which set an auditable baseline for the execution of the contracted works. • The design contracts ranged in value from £70k to £1m+ and included various disciplines such as; civils, superstructure, architectural, mechanical and electrical, specialist Extra High Voltage (EHV) cabling and overhead lines (OHL), substations and communications. Overall project values ranged between £1m to £100m+ and multi-year frameworks.

Project Manager – Design • Nuclear | Energy | Water (Barrow).• Following the successful award of the BAE Systems project in Barrow-in-Furness, which I led as Bid Manager, I transferred from my role in precontract to mobilise the contract including final negotiations with the client. • I was directly responsible for the project management of all the engineering and design outputs across all disciplines as well as engaging with the client and their designer. • I held a chair on the contract management team (CMT) alongside the lead operational and commercial personnel, reporting directly to the Project Director. • I had a direct report team, including a senior design manager, mechanical and electrical project manager, associate architect and document control function, but I operated across a multi-disciplinary construction team, supply chain and their specialist design teams. • The project involved standard construction aspects but also included several complex engineering packages such as; radiographic shield doors, nuclear compliant overhead cranes and specialist build requirements inherent on a nuclear licensed and MoD authorisation conditions site. This included radiographic compliance which I directly oversaw whilst working with a specialist.

Bid Manager • Nuclear | Energy | Water.• As Bid Manager I was responsible for all aspects of the tender process, from receipt of an initial enquiry, through to operational handover. • Throughout the tender period I was responsible for managing all interfaces including; operations, procurement, supply chain partners, designers and the client. • Shaping each tender opportunity to the strengths of Morgan Sindall, within governance procedures, and to the distinct requirements of our clients. • During my time as Bid Manager I have completed various tenders which span a variety of sectors, complexities and formats (water, nuclear, rail electrification, utility and cable transmission); ranging from £50k to £100m+ one off projects and £1m to £80m per annum frameworks.

Senior Electrical Engineer • BakerHicks (Formally AMEC, MPS, Morgan Sindall Professional Services)• Lead Electrical Engineer on major projects at Heathrow Airport and London Underground following promotion in December 2010. • I was responsible for all aspects of the Electrical package such as specifications, drawings, calculations and schedules, fit for construction. • I led internal governance meetings ensuring coordination with all disciplines (Architectural, Structural and Mechanical) to obtain design assurance with clients throughout the project phase.• I became the in-house Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Champion attributed to the work I completed with London Underground and at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. • A big highlight from my time at MSPS was achieving my Chartered Engineer status via the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers in 2010, aged 27, using my work on EMC as the technical route project.

Electrical Engineer • Field Systems Designs Ltd• Lead engineer on a variety of sewage treatment, clean water, chemical dosing and railway sites across the UK for numerous clients and end users. • Projects ranged from new builds, refurbishments and large site modifications. Covering voltage levels up to 33kV, instrumentation and control design including hazardous area designs and installations. • I became the in-house specialist in ATEX installation compliance, developing various calculation tools, standard drawings and connection details (supporting my degree dissertation).

Apprentice Engineer - Water Projects • Purac (now Doosan Enpure)• Working under a senior engineer I lead elements of the design.• Inputting into client and internal meetings. • Meeting with suppliers and specialists to inform design and coordination.• Producing performance specifications and procurement list for materials and equipment.
