• Responsibility of monitoring compliance, in role as Health and Safety Officer. Ensuring all departments follow Health and Safety legislation, and approved codes of practice.
• Audit of over one hundred services, wards, and departments across two counties. Highlighting safety, fire and security implications to senior management.
• Assessing individual staff issues. Including Manual Handling, Noise, Display Screen Assessment, CoSHH and Lone Working.
• Identification of RIDDOR incidents, and investigation of concerns in variety of work areas. Advising on Health and Safety issues, route causes analysis of incident, and presenting further recommendations to management.
• Experience of teaching and engaging staff in both induction programmes and mandatory training. Reinforcing fire awareness, safe working procedures, and a positive behaviour towards workplace hazards.

• Investigating and reporting of all serious/RIDDOR accidents to Learning Skills Council.
• Performing Health and Safety checks to ensure the learners safety in placements.
• Assisting companies on how to improve arrangements or advise on policy creation.
• Inspection of external companies in a wide range of industries to ensure compliance and safety of young persons. Predominantly in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, and Retail.
• Monitoring Insurance details and regular Health and Safety update checks.
