    In my role as Lead Facilitator with the Odyssey Program , I deliver Respectful Relationships Education to young men in Secondary School students across Australia. Workshops include engaging activities to promote conversations around such topics as Respect, Masculinity, Peer Pressure, Stereotypes, Emotions, Relationships and Consent. We deliver workshops in schools around Australia on topics relevant to teenage boys. (While our workshops are primarily for boys themselves, we do also offer insightful parent and teacher nights!)Rather than just focusing on so-called ‘troubled teens’ we prefer to work with an entire year level of boys – in co-ed schools, this means giving them a day away from the girls to focus just on ‘boy stuff’.The information we present is valuable to all.Workshop content – including discussions and activities – is flexible enough to accommodate the age, maturity and specific needs of your boys and the length of each workshop is usually able to be adapted to fit in with the school’s daily timetable.

    In my role as Senior Consultant I regularly conduct comprehensive effective conflict management training and group coaching sessions for staff working in the Out of Home Care, Disability, Youth Justice and Secure Services sector. This includes behaviour management, de escalation techniques, risk assessments, self care strategies, emotional intelligence and “break and escape” techniques, which enable staff to deal with challenging high risk behaviours of young people and the ability to provide leadership, supervision, support to Youth Services staff and mitigate inter-staff conflict. Follow up group coaching sessions are a key component of the effective conflict management training process. With a comprehensive understanding of adolescent development, staff development, social planning, youth participation and community development my role is to make recommendations, alternative systems and structures for residential homes and agencies to consider.Other roles I perform with Edge are the facilitation of Mediation, and Life Coaching sessions for brigade members from the Country Fire Authority (CFA) of Victoria. In my role as Mediator I conduct an initial pre-consultation meeting with all stakeholders individually followed by the mediation session and subsequent reviews. In regards to recommendations, Life Coaching may be endorsed and consists of individual meetings exploring a brigade members values and experiences. I have received extremely positive feedback for the significant shift in personal development of CFA members from other brigade members and Management. Worker Safety, Trauma and Equal Opportunity workshops are also delivered to various companies and organisations to raise awareness around discrimination and harassment in the workplace.

    The Split Second Project is a pilot prevention/early intervention project geared towards empowering marginalised young people through a process ofRespectful Relationship workshopping & participatory CSA filmmaking. SS challenges the moment of choice that sits behind the 'one punch theory'. Through a collaborative workshopping process Split Second will create entertaining & impact-driven resources to educate participants & peers on gender identity & violence. SS challenges gender stereotypes & encourages cultural activism aiming to educate youth and reduce violence in attitude/action.As Program Manager with the Split Second Program I worked with young people from Bridging Worx on respectful relationships; develop 2 CSAs written, produced and filmed by the group and Youthworx. Creative media will be used as a tool to promote reflection about one's own attitudes towards gender and violence. Through a process of R.R workshops and creative production we aim to redefine attitudes towards violence in attitude and action. We also aim to develop a website for SS which will include introductory clips to the project, offer support resources and further information about violence/bystander techniques, and will provide an on-line platform for the publication of produced CSAs

    In my role as Program Manager, I oversee a range of personal development programs for young people, which focus on understanding and maintaining healthy relationships, and preventing domestic violence and men’s violence against women. The Be the Hero program is delivered to students in secondary, community schools, Youth Justice clients in the community and in custody. During these workshops a number of issues are discussed including; respectful relationships, the use of violence among young men and how to control emotions, gender matters discussing the relationships between men and women, and what it means to be a man. The sessions are always interactive and educational for the young people engaging in discussion, various activities and role-plays as part of their learning experience.Other roles have been the development and delivery of the Respect Ambassadors Program (RAP), a five-week bystander activation program with the central aspect of using drama, art, sport, and mindfulness activities to provide primary school students with an opportunity to observe and discuss bullying situations and to safely practice positive effective bystander intervention techniques. Covered topics will include Cyber Bullying, Peer Rejection and Ostracizing, Physical Victimisation and Threats of Harm, and Gender Violence and Homophobia.Club Respect is a program designed to support sporting clubs in adopting and implementing practices for a culture of respect and equality. In my role as facilitator of Club Respect sessions I aim to assist clubs to examine their governance, policies, and expectations of club members to enhance a culture of respect in their organization, with the view for best practice, club growth and sustainability. The program has been delivered to all Victorian Rugby League (VRL) Clubs throughout Victoria.
