My first job was in fashion retail at the age of 16 and the manager of the store said he would consider hiring me but, that I only had one day to show him what I was capable of. Needless to say, it only took an hour and he hired me after I made one of the biggest sales for the shop in months. I went on to become a store manager and regional manager within the next 2 years. After this period, I decided to travel for 2 years, working abroad in various retailers and pubs. When I returned to South Africa I decided to try my skills in Real Estate and had a really successful career for a few years. During my Real Estate career I met some awesome people who later gave me an opportunity to work for their business. I started in a customer services role for Pro-Link Global (Newland Chase) and later moved on to the partner group - KGNM team working my way up to become the Global Manager within my first 2 years there. What an exciting time to work with one of the leading immigration consulting companies in the world. Managing the due diligence process, internal and external client satisfaction and supporting my colleagues with any issues that they may have with any of the 200 partner firms globally. In my fifth year, the company was acquisitioned and my position became redundant.I now found myself at a crossroads in my career and felt the need to try something new, something that I had always been passionate about. Thus began my entrepreneurial endeavor with OrchidLove SA. Importing and retailing of orchids and rare aroids in South Africa. During the covid 19 pandemic my company became one of the most recognized rare plant importers in South Africa. At the end of 2022 I decided to sell OrchidLove SA as I wanted to support my wife after she was offered a position in the UAE. Now we are here and I am inspired to start the next chapter in our lives in a new and exciting country but always open to working remotely.
