Employed in Qatar on the Eurofighter Typhoon contract within the maintenance package, mentoring and training QEAF personnel in aircraft armament engineering. Tasks include maintenance, installation and testing of the crew escape system, external stores and equipment such as fuel tanks, pylons, ejector release systems and weapons.• Lead technical tasks ensuring full competence of the engineers prior to receiving the relevant authorisations to load live weapons.• Carry out annual assessments on crew escape systems and aircraft movements, personally holding the responsibility of both BAE and QAEF authorisations.• Ensure all data/tooling/GSE is available. Raise technical enquiries to industry experts when deficiencies arise, enabling fluent operations as capabilities advance from squadron start up.• Prioritise tasks, actively control work progression whilst mentoring Qatari supervisors ensuring they understand all aspects of the armament trade and their responsibilities.• Lead the Qatari armament trade during the 2022 FIFA World Cup ensuring all weapons loads and armament rectification tasks were carried out in readiness for ongoing QRA operations.
