As a teaching assistant for Introductory Ethics courses, I taught weekly sections, led review sessions, held one on one tutoring, and graded tests.

I conducted inspections and investigations of facilities that manufactured and held products under the jurisdiction of the FDA. The majority of facilities I inspected were food manufacturers and warehouses. The job required a working knowledge of the laws and regulations enforced. A written report communicating all relevant information was required upon completion of each operation. I completed tasks independently, as a team member, and as a team leader. Interpersonal skills were vital to the success of each task, as there was naturally a tension between the investigator and the the firm management.

I planned, conducted and reported research of Blacktail Deer in the San Juan Islands. I performed tasks such as radio telemetry, handling, sedating, and collecting samples from caught deer, extensive hiking to record sightings of deer, and maintaining automatic camera stations. I worked closely with my research adviser and research teammate to accomplish research goals. At the end of the field portion, I reported work in the form of an undergraduate research paper. I was also an invited presenter at the Erickson and Murdock Undergraduate Research Conferences. I was only able to attend the Erickson conference, where I presented my independent Blacktail Deer research project covering the body condition of deer on the Blakely Island.
