Andovar performs localization services for companies all over the world. In my role as CTO I'm responsible for global IT operations, which is everything from administering our NetSuite and Office365 instances to leasing workstations, managing the LAN and local AD to managing the IT support team.In my informal COO role I'm developing business processes and implementing them with NetSuite workflows or on SharePoint, as well as day-to-day management and troubleshooting of the project management department.Linguistic engineering is of my departments, which I direct the engineers in performing analysis of translation data for use in human translation and more recently, machine translation.I manage four departments, with about 25 people on three continents.

I joined the UNDP regional HQ to help them with SNAP, an online collaboration space implemented in SharePoint 2007 which I helped them update to SharePoint 2010, building a completely new server farm on virtual machines. While I was there I had the chance to work on SharePoint workflows and PowerShell, as well as providing user support, training and day-to-day admin of the production farm.

Simplicity International is an IT outsourcing company providing IT staff to firms that don't want to hire full-time staff. I started off managing the web team, producing PHP websites and applications for local companies but ended up running the Bangkok branch. I was involved in managing teams, client relations and traditional web development and Windows Server troubleshooting.

Publisher of FARANG Untamed Travel magazine. After the .com collapse I spent a year and a half backpacking in Asia and pursuing my love of travel photography and writing. This got me hired by a new Bangkok-based publication, FARANG, who needed another editor, photographer and general IT guy. While there I developed the local IT network, set up the photo library and eventually became Managing Editor, responsible for the operational assembly of each month's issue, in addition to writing columns and going on assignment.In addition to the creative duties of writing and managing photography operations I introduced business processes to ensure the smooth running of the company that took it from a Thailand-based publication to distribution in four countries.I was also Managing Director of GoReal, the spinoff online arm of the publication about one year before the eventual bankruptcy of the parent publication.

I was headhunted from Eclipse to head up a mixed team of local and expat web developers to produce an online share trading system in a joint venture between Malaysia's largest share trading firm, OSK and the producer of Australia's most successful share trading site, Comsec, developed by IT&E. Over the year I managed a team of three to develop the front end of the share trading application which was unfortunately cancelled when the .com crash occured

Eclipse was an advertising firm that transformed to a web development company during the .com boom. I worked here as a Web Developer producing early eCommerce sites on a variety of platforms.

After graduation I was recruited by Unisys and seconded to the Australia Post year 2000 programme. My team maintained an MS Access application that tracked all the IT systems in Australia Post (the post office) and their vulnerability to the year 2000 bug. My remit was testing and training but while there I published the application to the intranet via ASP and was transferred to the Australia Post eBusiness department where I worked on productivity metric applications and postal fulfilment in the early days of eCommerce. While there I worked on Microsoft IIS, ASP and AciveX.,

I took a summer internship at what was then Tennix Defence Systems, then Finnex and now BAE Australia to perform a remote sensing project to see if satellite data could be used to detect illegal fishing vessels. After the project concluded I continued to work part time until graduation as an assistant to the R&D manager preparing R&D tax claims and performing internet research on the early web. As one of the few employees with internet exposure I was asked to consult on implementation of email to the general workforce and the utility of internet connectivity for the company.
