As a learning design specialist for the NRMA division, I acted as a trusted partner to the direct business using human centred design techniques to discover, define, develop and deploy scalable capability uplift solutions. My role was unique because it wasn't compliance-centric, allowing me to thrive in a dynamic setting, fostering genuine innovation and actively engaging with learners, a unique value add for the division beyond traditional learning and development.Responsibilities:• Research, design, develop and capability solutions using HCD principles via leader-led, facilitator-led, self-paced and elearning modes.• Lead large-scale projects and initiatives to create new/refresh existing capability solutions.• Act as a trusted advisor for best practice learning across the direct business.• Form and engage focus groups of experts across the organisation.• Support our people as Culture Connector and as a Digital Workplace Buddy.Achievements:• Aligned the employee experience though the developing and delivery of an award-winning multi-channel onboarding program touching 5000 FTE. • Developed a core capability framework for cohorts with current and future state measurement and mapping.• Innovated solutions that supported capability uplift across a multi-functional corporate entity.

Lutheran Services provides support and accommodation for older people, young people and their families, those living with disability or mental illness, and people experiencing domestic violence and hardship.As a Learning and Capability Partner I built the capability of the organisation by shaping the way learning is perceived and experienced though end-to-end design, development, implementation and evaluation of bespoke learning experiences.Responsibilities:• Run projects and initiatives to create new/refresh existing training solutions.• Facilitate workshops and present at leadership meetings on learning initiatives.• Form and engage focus groups of experts across the organisation.• Research, design, develop and iterate engaging learning solutions.• Develop resources including facilitator/participant guides, job aids and posters.• Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders• Served 2 years on the Wellness Community for support centre staff.Achievements:• Pitched and led an organisational transition from annual tick-and-flick mandatory training events to monthly learning campaigns consisting of elearning, toolbox talks, roadshows, table talkers and posters.• Led the refresh of the organisational approach to manual handling from an annual session to a champion-led framework consisting of blended elearning, on-the-job competency assessment, supporting guide cards and annual top ups.• Implemented a new performance review and planning program ‘Compass’ mapped to a new competency framework with an annual cycle, cascading goal setting, self-assessments and a focus on professional development.

Churches of Christ in Queensland is one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit organisations. Providing care services to vulnerable people at different stages of their life journey.There were no online learning solutions or learning management system when I joined the team. As the first Instructional Designer in the team, I set up the organisation for success through the implementation of a digital compliance offering. Responsibilities:• develop blended learning products for internal and external audiences• instruct facilitators in the use of best practice instructional design principles. • collaborate with stakeholders, project managing multiple elearning products. Achievements:• designed and delivered a curriculum of 13 compliance elearning courses• managed the implementation of a new learning management system (LMS)• coached leaders and staff through the change of the LMS implementation• introduced governance via style guides, templates and processes.

New Dynamic Institute (NDI) is a private language-training centre for adults with over 40 branches throughout China.My role in NDI was one of the most fulfilling experiences in my career. I fully embraced the organisation and national culture and returned to the company a second time 2 years later. Responsibilities:• teach English as a Second Language to adults and children• plan lessons and develop curriculum to cater to VIP students• deliver tests and examinations to prospective and current students• participate the social program including Extra Curricular Activities (ECA’s).Achievements:• built a cross-team collaborative culture in our centre, connecting the academic, marketing and administration departments• enriched students appreciation of varying cultures and opportunities abroad• modelled the importance of team success by preparing resources and taking classes for teachers that were late due to external circumstances.

Nova, operated by Jibun Mirai Associe Co. Ltd. offers English courses for adults, children, business English and test preparation. It operates over 310 branches across Japan.My role as an instructor at Nova, involved facilitating English language lessons to students from ages 4 to 80+ by rapidly adapting unscheduled lessons to cater to the individual students need. I also engaged in sales and marketing between scheduled classes.

Borderlink works with the Boards of Education across Japan to connect schools with international teachers to assist in the delivery of English language lessons. I was placed at Saidera middle school; the largest and higest profile middle school in the city, with over 800 students. I worked with 5 Japanese English teachers across the 3 grades and earned the trust of the school to prepare comprehensive lessons linked to their curriculum and create, supervise and grade student’s regular assessments.

Suncorp Group Limited is one of Australia's largest banks and the largest general insurance group.As part of an effective team of Instructional Designers, I maintained and enhanced the corporate learning offering with and took a special focus on a refreshed Small Business Lending learning program, coordination of the LMS iterative updates and learning governance in the form of standards and guidelines.
