With a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from University of São Paulo, I have a strong background in developing novel methods for advanced oxidation processes in water/wastewater treatment. My research focused on synthesizing activated carbon from solid waste for the electrochemical generation of hydrogen peroxide, a sustainable and cost-effective technique for removing contaminants from water. For over a year, I have been working as a technician and constructor at Ecocycle Ltd, a leading company in onsite wastewater treatment solutions in New Zealand. In this role, I provided professional after-sales service, advice, and maintenance of Ecocycle's wastewater treatment plants around North Island, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with environmental standards. I also have experience as wastewater operator at Veolia New Zealand, where I operated and maintained wastewater facilities throughout the Queenstown Lakes District.Additionally, I have skills in problem solving, professional services, initiative, emotional intelligence, analytical thinking, and commercial awareness, which I developed throughout my career. I also have international exposure, having done research in nanotechnology enabled water treatment at Rice University in the USA, and internship in environmental consultancy at Separation Systems Consultants Inc, where I worked with underground storage tank removal, soil and wastewater sampling, and retention/detention pond maintenance.I am passionate about finding innovative and sustainable solutions for water/wastewater treatment, and I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to new challenges and opportunities in the environmental field.
