A 18th edition qualified electrician who has developed mechanical skills and qualifications at NVQ level 3 within engineering. An experienced mechanical/electrical engineer with over 20 years experience in multi-skilled engineering maintenance of equipment within the food industry. A solid hands-on approach towards the maintaining of machines conforming to wiring regulations, COSHH, permit to work regulations, as well as adhering to quality assurance standards and meeting strict targets with keeping production downtime to a minimum. Working well as part of a maintenance team or running shifts with little to no supervision, liaising with production operators on site, diagnosing faults and overseeing time critical repairs which are essential to reduce production downtime. Working with other departments and seniors managers for the planning and scheduling of maintenance work to be carried out, with effective communication and a professional approach and ability to work to an ethical code of conduct.
