Principal Business Intelligence Developer
CurrentSupport and enhance the existing Metro South Business Data and Analytics Service with a responsibility for reporting and data warehousing, primarily with CCL, SQL Server and associated Microsoft tools. Participate in the accurate delivery of data to various clinical units throughout the Health Service.Development of queries to extract data from clinical systems, specifically the enterprise Electronic Medical Record application (Cerner) via Cerner Command Language (CCL)Creating and updating ETL packages.Monitoring database/ETL performance and optimising/tuning as necessary to ensure optimal performance.Delivering high quality reporting solutions according to specifications to turn data into actionable intelligence and performs testing to ensure requirements are met and that system performance is satisfactory.Works with functional/business customers to prioritise and proactively manage the Business Intelligence (BI) portfolio demand and projects.Responsible for defining and recommending short and long-term technical reporting strategies
