● Working as a system engineer for at least fifteen years at this job.● This complex job is to guide a product from design to production.Adding wire harnessing on switches is the main type of product I work on. I do the design, the purchasing, the assembly documents, the drawings, and the verification that they are built as per spec.The other product is system solutions where I help with formfactor design of enclosures as well as the other tasks already listed above.● Interact directly with customers either through emails or on the phone to provide answers to complex technical questions about using the company’s switch products in various assemblies.● Standardize and create build procedures and user-friendly manuals for various switch related assemblies.● Responsible for purchasing material for the value-added department, interacting directly with vendors.● Interact with assembly personnel to continuously improve product production.● Use graphic-editing programs to create switch legend artwork, product photos, videos, and presentations.● Team up with the Marketing department to produce brochures and other marketing material as well as preparing for and attending trade shows.● ISO Document Control Coordinator and Training Coordinator for the value-added department.● Training of Sales personnel of current products.● Use SolidWorks to evaluate prototypes before production.

● Part of a team of cable specialists focused on writing company wide procedures related to wire harnesses.● Designed wire harnesses for satellites such as VCL, Pan Am Sat, OrbView3, SBD, Galex, Sorce, and N-Star.● Designed wire harnesses for missiles such as OT-2a, CMP-4, and FTF and the Pegasus rocket.● Standardized and simplified cable design processes. Created software tools in VB6 and Excel to reduce design related errors and reduce design time for engineers.● Evaluated parts and designs for part standardization.● Assisted with system testing and ground support for the rockets.
