I was accountable for all financial performance of the racquets department which boasted a club consisting of: 3,000 plus adult members (600 of which are racquets members). 800 junior members (between 80 and 100 of these were part of the weekly junior coaching programme at any one time).All Coaching classes and programming was managed by myself in addition to all staff recruitment/rota's. A commitment that saw me in the club more than 50 hours per week on average.A healthy calendar filled with social events and competitive events (for all juniors and adults) as well as a tournament league for all players was part of my remit. This included on court hours for myself as I had to deliver numerous groups and individual lessons being a head of department.I managed all staff invoicing and payment and the responsibility of holding a cohesive team of tennis and badminton professionals together as an effective workforce.Much like a fitness manager, I had to drive my staff to obtain private lessons and the department was budgeted to achieve monthly facility fee performance from these pro's.
