Replace defective part with new part or repair or reproduce part needed. Ran A Small machine shop with a mill, lathe, band saws, and drill press to fabricate parts and guards.Worked with plc program adjustments, drive inverters as demand called for it. Replace & reprogram if repair was not possible.Repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, or relays.Replace belts, suction cups, and hoses as required. Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all shop equipment.Determine when outside technicians are needed to accomplish repairs, and advise management.Perform work in an efficient, safe and productive manner. Assit coworkers solve mechanical or software related issues and step in and fix them if I felt they could not. Inspect all the work being done is to the customers expectations. Instate more effective and efficient ways of communications between departments like having a color coded tag system for the printing presses. Ensure all maintenance was kept up. If all the operators where busy with other work I would step in and do it or make sure the operator or mechanic was aware of it and to make sure it gets done.. Find ways of cutting costs and running them by my supervisor to make sure it was ok to implement the new way to cut down on waste. . Make sure that the mot important jobs where getting done first to ensure they would get done in case of a break down later in the shift. Listen to ideas of fellow employees to better run certain jobs. Keep the shop up to OSHA standards as well as clean. Show less

I ran the Heidelberg MO for half my time there and then was introduced to the Heidelberg DI 4 color and ran that as well. On the MO press I ran a lot of #40 black over black for a very big client for them. At the time I started with Contemporary the Mo press was not running much at all. It was my job to fix it up and getting running and perfecting so it may be used for the perfecting they had planned for it. I did that as well as run other jobs on that press which mainly used pms inks. Once in the QM DI press I picked it up with very little problems. I ran that press and kept it maintained the best I could before getting an offer from Heidelberg to come to work for them.
