Being in a dynamic environment such as an auto care center shop, it's critical that every member of the team is properly trained and efficient in what they do. This is something that you have to be actively involved with every day. In an effort to to be a better leader and team member myself, servant leadership went a long way. I'm very proud of the team we developed- they continue to do it to this day. After a Market AP visit I was asked if I was interested in coming back to asset protection- the answer to that question was easy. I've learned a great deal working shoulder to shoulder with some of the best Associates in the industry. I had a great journey and view of our internal workings from truck to shelf that will definitely benefit moving into an asset protection role. -

Implemented new shrink prevention initiatives to control loss in small volume stores, this included adding new CCTV-DVR systems (WREN). In regards to WREN, who is a major CCTV distributor for Walmart, I like the low profile mini domes that work perfectly for our type of ceilings in our Goodwill stores. Goodwill was on the move adding new stores- and trying to improve their overall appearance. Additional responsibilities included supervising an 8-person team to combat shoplifting in our stores. Scheduling teaching and training instrumental for success. With my experience at Walmart installing cameras systems, CAP index, reviewing blueprints for installation, did the same thing for this organization. Work closely with Bay alarm for all store locations for alarm response.I was involved in a new project partnering up with the US government. Goodwill had secured a facility for classified document destruction. It was pretty exciting to be involved with this project working with great people. Our department received a special budget to install an elaborate camera, ID badge system and AP staffing, taking security to a new level. Although working here was a great learning experience I found it was not for me. I contacted Walmart to restart my career. -
