Its works are organised around three themes: governance, human and ecosystem health, and thelink between rivers and oceans.Its goal: obtain recognition of the wealth represented by rivers and the role they play in the development of the territories they cross, through collective reflection, creating maximum awareness, and following an integrated approach.On a daily basis, IFGR’s actions are structured according to three main topics: partnerships with the academic world, increasing the awareness of the general public and supporting innovation. These projects are carried out in partnership with existing actors at local scale to improve knowledge of rivers, alert decision-makers – notably politicians – of the challenges involved, and strengthen dialogue between their uses. Lastly, by taking this multidisciplinary, international approach rooted in different regions, IFGR wants to contribute towards enriching national and international debates on energy transition and the creation of a sustainable world.

Vice President, Operations (2014-present)• Under the direction of the CEO, oversee the activities of the Environment, Port Logistics, Security and Fire Prevention, Infrastructure Management and Marine Operations Departments (120 employees).• Participate in formulating the company's vision, strategic plan and capital budget. Accountable to the achievement of strategic and financial objectives.• Formulate staffing plan, succession plan and execute team reorganizations.• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures with operational implications and recommend necessary changes.• Maintain a work environment that promotes employee engagement and collaboration with other departments of the company. Encourage the innovation process of teams in order to improve performance.• Participate in the trade promotion of the MPA.• Act as a spokesperson for public consultations, stakeholder engagement and meetings with elected officials & policy makers.

Responsible for strategic and tactical activities for the operation of the Authority's last-mile/first-mile rail service. Head the maritime services group ensure safe marine access in port waters.

The St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) is a non-profit organization that protects and promotes the economic interests of the St. Lawrence River. SODES represents the maritime community, which includes stakeholders from the private and public sectors whose activities affect the St. Lawrence economy directly or indirectly in every region of Québec. SODES seeks to be the marine sector’s voice vis-à-vis governments on matters related to the St. Lawrence economy and development, where cargo and passenger transportation, regional development and the environment are concerned.
