Mr. Maki has performed investigations of exterior cladding systems of brick and block masonry, stucco, EIFS, glass, wood, vinyl, and metal, as well as the investigation and instrumentation of roofing and waterproofing building problems, structural analysis, and design of rehabilitation efforts. Mr. Maki has developed working drawings and specifications for the repair of industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential buildings. He has also performed field observation services during the repair process.Mr. Maki has supervised and performed thermal and waterproofing leakage investigations, and testing based on the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB). A partial list of regional projects includes infrared analyses of roofs and walls, investigations of plaza deck reconstruction, material properties analyses, and structural investigation and analysis. Mr. Maki’s designs may be found at numerous school districts and municipalities across the State of Wisconsin.

Mr. Maki was employed by Structural Research, Inc., a Madison based engineering firm specializing in roofing system forensic analyses. His primary responsibilities included laboratory analysis and testing of materials, product evaluation, design development, and preliminary layout and design of structural framing members.
