Responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating the work of City staff and contractors engaged in the maintenance of parks, trails, parkways, medians, open space and other planted or forested areas within the City’s CSDs, CFDs and LMDs. Review new development Park and Landscape project plans to ensure compliance with City Parks and Landscape Standards and Design Guidelines. Prepare Conditions of Approval for installation of public parks, trails, landscape parkways, medians and open space related to new development. Develop and administer operational budgets for CSD, CFD and LMD parks, trails, parkways, medians, water quality basins and open space landscape maintenance service areas. Identify and prepare budgets for Capital Improvement Projects. Develop, implement and administer landscape maintenance, urban forestry, plumbing and lighting/electrical contracts. Manage the City’s Rainbird Maxicom/IQ Central Control Irrigation System.
