Founder and Executive director of RVK X, an event production company that specialises in the music and fashion industries.This year we worked with the biggest streetwear and sport brands in Iceland including Reykjavik Roses, Metta Sport, Child, Coppermine and DDX.At the RVK X Menningarnótt event, Icelands largest rapper, club artist and DJs performed: Birnir, Clubdub, Joey Christ, Dadi Omars and more.RVK X completely sold out and we hosted thousands over the course of the day.The sponsors we worked with included: Síminn (the largest telecommunications firm in Iceland), Dominos, Joe and the Juice, and Bara.Next year our goal is to scale RVK X up by incorporating a greater number of brands, artists, and venues.

This was a paid internship where I worked in a range of different areas within the national telecommunications firm. These areas included sales, logistics, Human Resources, and Marketing. Not only did this variety embellish my understandings of company dynamics, but it also highlighted to me key attributes that characterized team success and performance. Considering WOM has a customer base of 9 million clients, it was rewarding learning about the nuances of large firms, especially during a particularly challenging macroeconomic environment for telecommunications firms in Chile. My professional Spanish linguistic abilities also improved significantly.

This was a month long immersion in the production and services industry, specifically within the film and television.

Researched and produced reports on Iceland’s integration into the Secondary Emerging Markets FTSE index. I had to analyze the implications for Icelandic companies listed on the FTSE index and provide the investment bankers working at Fossar with in-depth capital flow projections and how that would affect our clients.

I was accepted as one of the youngest juicers in Iceland, managed customer relations, and executed tasks given to me efficiently. It was rewarding working in a team to effectively run our store in the busiest mall in Iceland.

Worked on the sales floor where I sold high value products to customers and remedied any technical issues they were having with a product. Informed my communication and sales skills. Gained knowledge in the technology industry as well.
