CNC MACHINING AND PROGRAMING: Duties included setting and running Mazak cnc milling and turning machines to manufacture medical equipment (artificial hips) to extremely tight manufacturing tolerances and to the specifications required and to technical drawings, 100% inspection was required on every item produced and all activities were signed off for traceability and to ensure that the highest quality standards were met at all times, cnc laser etching was also required on every part and machine maintenance was an important part of my dailly tasks ensuring all cutters were within tool life specified for cutting titanium, coolant and oil levels were correct etc I also undertook many lean activities during this period to improve the manufacturing process
