The Director of Assessment is responsible for the overall development, maintenance, and management of the School of Pharmacy Assessment Plan and calendar. This position is responsible for developing and implementing all assessment related activities for the School.KEY PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:Coordinate all aspects of the SUSOP Assessment Program.Assure that the SUSOP Assessment Plan is executed according to the assessment calendar to support all required activity to ensure ongoing accreditation.Coordinate SUSOP assessment reports to the University.Support University level assessment data requests as needed.Develop/recommend/implement assigned elements of the South University and School of Pharmacy Strategic Plans as requested.Support assessment data requests for SUSOP standing committees as needed.Actively participate in Institutional Effectiveness Planning and Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).Assist the Dean or designee in the preparation of accreditation data and reports as needed.Represent the University, School and/or Dean at local, regional or national events or conferences as needed.Serve as primary academic advisor and mentor for pharmacy students displaying poor academic performance at any point in the curriculumServe as coordinator and/or instructor for courses in the School of Pharmacy as assigned, with reduced teaching expectations due to the focus of the position

Under the supervision of the South University School of Pharmacy Campus Dean or appointedrepresentative, the Assistant Director of Assessment plays a pivotal role in advancing the institution'sassessment initiatives by gathering, interpreting, and disseminating pertinent data.Key Responsibilities:• Facilitates the collection and evaluation of both quantitative and qualitative data pertaining tothe School's students, programs, and campuses, as well as broader trends within higher education.• Provides essential support for the preparation of accreditation submissions and institutionalreporting requirements.• Generates quarterly reports on persistence, graduation, and placement rates, ensuring theirwidespread distribution.• Contributes to the development and upkeep of internal tracking mechanisms and reportingprotocols to ensure relevance and accuracy.• Proficiently executes database queries to extract operational insights and relevant information.• Analyzes results from student satisfaction surveys and other feedback mechanisms involvingfaculty, staff, and students.• Addresses spontaneous internal and external requests for data and analytical insights in atimely manner.• Compiles data reports integral to the annual School report, demonstrating a commitment totransparency and accountability.• Participates actively in the SUSOP Assessment Committee, fostering collaboration andalignment with assessment goals.By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Assistant Director of Assessment plays a pivotal role inenhancing the School's ability to assess its performance and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Assists with the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data on the School‟s students, programs and campuses, as well as on the higher education field in general. Supports school and institutional reporting for accreditation submissions. Produces quarterly persistence, graduation and placement rate reports for distribution. Assists in establishing and maintains currency of internal tracking and reporting procedures. Queries operational databases. Develops and analyzes student satisfaction survey results and other surveys of faculty, staff andstudents. Responds to ad hoc internal and external requests for data and analysis.  Generate data reports for the annual School report. Serves on the SUSOP Assessment Committee.

Assisted with study design, data collecting and analyzing for Low Birthweight (LBW) Infants research. 1st author of research dissertation “Characterization of Components in a Mixture Model for Birthweight Distribution” under direction of Dr. Richard Charnigo, Associate Professor, UK College of Public Health, Department of Biostatistics. Design a massive study to assess the relationship between maternal and behavioral risk factors with LBW infants.

Assisted with evaluating several federal grants conducted at Gateway Community Services, Inc. through the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) funded through the National Institute of Health (NIH). • Observing and performing data collection. This included but not limited to: Interviewing with drug addicted juvenile, performing questionnaire under regulated by SAMHSA.• Performing data assessment. Assessing the data our agents collected, providing evidence for treatment selection.• Performing data evaluation.
