• Responsible for providing overall technical oversight/direction across all engineering disciplines associated with the development and fabrication of Thermal Protection qualification hardware and a flight ready Heat.
• Led ramp up to production effort to fabricate full size heat shields including facility upgrades, design and selection of equipment (ground support and specialized) and refinement of detailed manufacturing process.
• Identified and implemented numerous process improvements to reduce variability, hardware and labor costs, and several weeks of fabrication time. Implementation approved by customers via verbal communications.

• Managed Cost Accounts and variance reports, representing engineering on Material Review Committee, and Risk Management leader. Primary interface between Textron and the NASA/Lockheed customers for all technical aspects.

• Position reported to Director of Transition to Production. Primary focus was to drive producibility, Design For X, cost targets, and supplier selection early in the product design life cycle to ensure transition to.
• Led a concurrent engineering team consisting of mechanical and electrical designers, as well as Operations and Test personnel to implement numerous producibility enhancement initiatives
• Successfully led three IRAD projects that favorably affected NASA’s decision to down select Textron as the sole supplier of Heat Shield material, development of a new method for manufacturing honeycomb without mold.

Successfully led two residential/commercial programs from conception to production over four-year period. Initially hired as Lead Structures Engineer, promoted after three months to Design Leader, then Project Manager two years later. Responsible for companywide project planning and schedules. Interfaced directly with President and CFO in due diligent.
