About Daniel Dethier
En 1979, à peine diplômé ingénieur civil architecte, Daniel Dethier exerce en tant qu'architecte indépendant, tout en étant assistant à la chaire de composition du professeur Englebert. Sa double vocation de chercheur (poursuivie avec des études d'urbaniste) et de praticien caractérise d'emblée la démarche qu'il poursuit encore en exerçant actuellement, un mandat à l'ULB.En 1992, il fonde le bureau Dethier Architecture et il sera rejoint par Thomas Faes en 2005. La structure emploie 5 à 10 collaborateurs, intégrés à l'équipe dans une recherche de complémentarité des savoir-faire. Celle-ci est régulièrement complétée par des collaborateurs extérieurs dans les domaines les plus vastes en lien avec l'architecture (artistes, ingénieurs, scientifiques … ), aussi bien en Belgique qu'à l'étranger.
