As a summer R&D intern, I redesigned a mechanical component on a M/LWD tool that will reduce the lifetime repair and maintenance cost of each tool by over $80,000. To complete this project I utilized skills in engineering design, communication with colleagues, SolidWorks modeling, ANSYS simulations, cost-benefit analysis, GD&T, and technical drawings. In addition to completing design work, I also spent time observing the manufacturing of M/LWD tools and roller-cone and PDC drill bits and spent multiple days visiting an onshore drilling rig.

As a University Innovation Fellow, I worked with a leadership circle of Fellows at my University to make changes to encourage and promote innovation and entrepreneurship. Examples of projects include implementing two makerspaces for students to utilize in pursuit of innovative engineering, an ongoing yearly design competition sponsored by a large mining corporation with a prize total of $70,000, and the TEDxCSM 2017 event.

As a Catering Lead I managed teams of up to 30 employees and equipment including serving trucks, vans, trailers, and freezers in order to efficiently serve at private caterings, corporate events, and large public events such as the US Open Golf Tournament and the Seattle Food Truck Festival.
