Currently employed with the Anne Arundel County Police Department and assigned to the Vice Unit. As a Detective I also work with the FBI in combating Human Sex Trafficking. Through my experience and training, I have been recognized in State courts and offered in Federal Court as an expert in Sex Trafficking. My unit instructs and teaches non-profit organizations on the methods and tactics used by traffickers to recruit and manage their illicit businesses. My unit has also developed a training program which we present to hotels to help them recognize and report the signs of sex trafficking.I am trained in physical and electronic surveillance as well as the analysis of cell phone records and data to be used in prosecutions. I have over 14 years of experience interviewing victims of sex trafficking, clients of the sex workers and interviewing the traffickers.I have been awarded the Maryland Governors Citation as well as several awards from the U.S. Attorney's office and the Department of Homeland Security for my work in combating Human Trafficking.
