With over thirty years of experience in ministry both in parish and clinical settings, I continue to find spiritual formation and spiritual development the most exciting part of my ministry and work. Spiritual formation and spiritual development occurs in private, in one-on-one conversation, in large group and conference settings, in small groups, or more intimate conversations among two or three people. No matter the the location whether alone in solitude or surrounded by 1,000 of the best friends I never knew I had, spiritual formation and development happens. My time in ministry continues to lead me back to this area of inquiry and experience over and over.
