-General cleaning duties within allocated areas, including cleaning of toilets, bathrooms and kitchen on a daily basis. Dusting, cleaning of surfaces and mopping of floors to the standard stated in the cleaning specification for the area;-To safety manage and collect clinical and non-clinical waste and take it to the designated collection point in accordance with policy and notify ward housekeeper and supervisor if waste segregation is not in accordance with policy;-Order stores for cleaning and catering materials/consumables on an electronic ordering system;-Make up cleaning solutions to the correct quantities by reading the instructions, utilising the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following the COSHH guidelines, ensuring all cleaning materials are stored in accordance with policy during and after use;- Preparation, service and clearing up of patients' food and drinks, as required and in compliance with Trust policy and legal requirements;-Assist in patient food analysis and obtaining of food in relation to specific patient dietary requirements.

-To liaise with nursing staff to optimise patient flow through the clinic;-To meet and great patients on reception and direct to the correct area or to the other departments (eg. X-ray department, Preoperative Assessment)-To assist patients to use the self-check-in device and ticket number dispenser;-To update patients on waiting times, verbally communicate on-going delays and direct patients to the Clinic waiting times board;-To contact transport to inform when patients are ready to be collected;-To make hot drinks and collect sandwiches/snacks for transport patients;-To assist with administrative duties such as, filling, collecting medical records, photocopying, stock up information racks and ensure notice boards are tidy;-To assist patients who may require assistance as they are upset, have a query or concern, compliment or complaint and direct to the appropriate member of hospital staff;"I have just had a lovely conversation with a lady who visited A410 yesterday.
