I provide technical assistance to the local governments of Middle Georgia, primarily in the areas of community and transportation planning, as well as contract administration and proposal creation. A significant portion of my workload is devoted to grant writing in a number of areas, including public safety and community health.Specific projects of importance include: The Middle Georgia Regional Mobility Manager Program, local Comprehensive Plans and Transit Development Plans, service on the Macon and Warner Robins MPO Technical Coordinating and Policy Committees, and over $700,000 in funded FEMA Grants through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

Responsible for researching, constructing and presenting the new Jackson County Stormwater Management Plan, adopted into ordinance at the end of my internship. This involved development of county response to Environmental Protection Agency mandate and correspondence with state and federal level officials.Also served as aide to the Department Director as needed.

My duties involved processing artifacts from specific National Park Service collections, preparing them for archival, managing the archival database and other general office tasks with the Georgia Archaeological Site File at UGA.
