For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a detail-oriented personality. As a kid I would stay up all hours of the night just to find the right color of LEGO brick for a set or to polish axels for pinewood derby cars down to the nearest micron. While working as the chassis senior design lead for Wolfpack Motorsports SAE Mini Baja team, I put in hundreds of hours on ANSYS simulations to optimize the vehicle chassis before putting in hundreds more supervising and assisting with fabrication and welding. When I get a job done, and I get it done well. As a senior in Mechanical Engineering at NC State University, I have applied my attention to detail in an environment I found challenging and engaging. My time with Wolfpack Motorsports: Baja Division has provided me with the valuable experience of working on a team with others who are equally passionate about what they do. Working alongside other driven people is a transformative experience that I hope to continue throughout my career. Working at Altec Industries both in the New Product and Applications department provided me with a thorough exposure to formal workflow processes, further experience working with a professional team, and additional insight into the relationship between design and manufacturing. Thanks to this experience, I have a solid foundational understanding of the relationship between the modeler and the fabricator and appreciate the importance of clear and effective communication between the two.
