As a child I have been exposed to Entrepreneurs and Small Business owners. These friends and family members worked hard to make the ‘American Dream’ a reality. Ever since my younger years, I have had a desire to work in business. An overlooked aspect of business is Accounting. I have known many people that have failed in business due to a lack of understanding or attention to Accounting. My goal is to become a CPA and help people be able to do what they love. My experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, and a Patient Care Tech in the Hospital setting have helped me grow over the past couple years. These positions have taught me the value of Customer Care. This applies to all fields of employment and every industry. Customer care and interaction is a learned skill that must be polished. Secondly, teamwork and proper communication is crucial. These lessons have been taught and applied in my professional experience.My goal is to graduate from the University of Alaska Anchorage BBA Accounting program. This will allow me to join the workforce, pursue a CPA License and learn from Professionals in this industry.
