Some of my best skills are programming and debugging, interpreting and optimizing code, solving problems that do not have clear solutions, leadership as well as following guidelines, and being compatible with co-workers. I have an enthusiasm for embedded systems, and I hope to help push technology further into the future.My experience that I have obtained as a Electrical Engineering student at NC State University has prepared me to be efficient and confident in the work industry to be able to problem solve and be successful on future projects. Having worked on difficult projects that were unguided with no written solution have taught me to critically think and work efficiently with groupmates to solve the problem. The groups that I have worked in have helped me to understand different ideas of thinking and how to best communicate with them. I am currently looking for a job when I graduate in December 2021 in the computer/embedded systems/programming field where I can apply my skills and ideas. I hope to collaborate with my co-workers using my skills learned from school and help be a part of the solution for the future technology to come.

  I am an embedded software engineer that develops cutting edge software for John Deere excavators. I work on designing architecture for the features, understand and work with requirements to make the software and machines function properly and safely. When writing and designing architecture, I focus on the reusability of the code for other product groups to use and also for when we move to a newer model of excavators so that we don't have to rewrite all the same code again. Another focus is to architect code that can be understood in the future if it needs to be modified by not only me but other developers as well. Another big part of the job is to debug issues with the machines whether it is software that is not functioning properly or if there is a machine that is downed and is not running. This requires both a software approach and a hardware understanding to get to the solution, whether the software is commanding correctly and the hardware is not responding how it should or there is an issue in the code that needs to be debugged.
