As a 23-year-old Release of Information Officer at Tallaght University Hospital and a Freelance Journalist. I bring a diverse background and a wealth of experience from various sectors, including healthcare, defence, construction, and motor mechanics. Since joining Tallaght University Hospital in January 2022, I've been responsible for managing sensitive data and ensuring compliance with GDPR and other Data Protection regulations. My work has honed my expertise in privacy law and the nuances of data management.Before transitioning to healthcare, I briefly served in the Recruits of the Irish Defence Forces for eight weeks, where I developed a strong sense of duty, discipline, and leadership. These values have been integral to my success across various roles, from clerical officer to labourer in the construction industry, and even as a motor mechanic. No matter the job, I have always been committed to excellence, as evidenced by my perfect attendance record throughout my career and education.I am particularly proud of my achievements outside of work, which include receiving the Senior Principal's Award and being nominated for the Bradán Feasa Award during my secondary school graduation. As a former Student President, I learned the importance of leadership, advocacy, and service to others—skills that I continue to apply in my professional life.Passionate about the Irish language and committed to becoming fluent, I am also deeply interested in politics and law, particularly in how we can improve GDPR, Data Protection, and Freedom of Information legislation. My long-standing involvement in scouting, beginning at the age of five, has shaped my character and instilled in me a sense of responsibility to guide and mentor the younger generation.Looking ahead, I aspire to represent Ireland on both a national and international scale, advocating for more robust and effective data protection policies that better serve individuals and organizations alike.
