As Senior Program Manager, I work with colleagues to ensure that standard operating procedures for all business units in the Facilities Services & Planning Department of Stanford Health Care are accurate, understandable for the average user, and accessible. I draft, review, and manage standard operating procedures and oversee the enterprise's standard work database. Additionally, I work with professionals on the Contract and Lease Administration team in the Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives business unit to draft and review documents supporting Stanford Health Care's facility portfolio.

As Senior Managing Counsel, I led a team of attorneys and contract administrators who draft legal documents, perform legal review, and manage fully signed contracts to meet external legal requirements as well as internal policies and procedures. I performed final legal review for all contracts types and managed clinical services agreements, employment contracts, real estate leases, and complex healthcare transactions. I also designed and implement standard processes for managing the immigrant and nonimmigrant work authorization status of all health system employees. Additionally, I oversaw the organization’s contract management repository and educated executives regarding database access and processes.

As Senior Legal Counsel with SSM Health, I provided legal advice to the health system and its operating entities on regulatory, compliance and related matters and participated in legal review functions pertaining to all contracts. I was responsible for managing high risk contract service lines in the Transactions Practice Group of the System Legal Affairs Department. Additionally, I managed and advised on mergers and acquisitions and various high stakes transactions to ensure compliance and provide legal support to SSM’s senior leadership on a wide array of corporate governance and legal issues.

Oversaw an active practice of healthcare-related legal matters, including advising multiple hospital systems in a wide array of risk and regulatory compliance issues. Defended healthcare professionals and institutions in all stages of litigation, including complex oral and written discovery, first and second chair trial experience, and appeals. Conducted alternative dispute resolution and negotiate settlement agreements. Counseled and instructed clinicians in credentialing and licensure matters, including representation before the State Board of Healing Arts.

Managed a diverse caseload of matters involving commercial litigation & transactions, medicalmalpractice defense, and general insurance defense.
