Generate structural assessments of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket by evaluating the static strength, stability, and damage tolerance of the LH2 Cryotank. Structural analysis assessments are performed using ABAQUS finite element analysis, analytical methods, and NASGRO fatigue crack growth software in accordance to NASA standards.Support the development of large-scale test plans by providing structural loads and strain predictions for proof testing of the LH2 Tank. Attend weekly meetings to meet with NASA customer to address issues and requirements for large scale testing. Support factory production of the SLS rocket by actively communicating sound and substantiated solutions for non-conformance's during the manufacturing of the flight hardware to maintain schedule and reduce cost.

Developed statistical models to predict time-dependent material behavior of nanocomposites. Manufactured the nanocomposite coupon specimens using an open mold curing process at an on-site laboratory. The specimens were mechanically tested for time-dependent behavior under creep conditions (held under a constant load for a fixed period of time and temperature). Test results were used to develop statistical models.Also assisted in teaching undergraduate classes and attended STEM-related outreach programs for minority high school and middle school students.

Performed mechanical testing of metallic/polymeric coupon materials to determine stress-strain behavior and material properties at quasi-static and high strain rates. Characterized the structure, fracture development, and elemental composition of each material using scanning electron microscopes (SEMs), hardness testers, and x-ray computed tomography (CT).
