Following graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Moore began his career in February 1984 as a survey technician at Walter E. Fike, Inc. of Clarion, PA. Mr. Moore advanced his skills as a surveyor through extensive work experience and training as an instrument operator, survey computations specialist, CAD operator, and party chief until becoming licensed as a PLS in Pennsylvania in August 1989. Mr. Moore's responsibilities as Manager of the Surveying Departmentat Fike included preparation of project proposals, client relations, records research, survey computations, CAD drafting/mapping, Professional review, supervision of field personnel and the scheduling of field personnel activities and projects. Through his close involvement during major projects, he is familiar with some of the most advanced surveying equipment and was instrumental in the implementation of the CAD drafting department and development of company policies regarding estimating, and the preparation and negotiation of proposals.Since establishing Daniel E. Moore (D.E.M.) Surveying & Consulting in March 1999, Mr. Moore has employed qualified personnel, utilized state of the art office and field equipment, and continued his education through additional training workshops.This business incorporated as D.E.M. Surveying, P.C. in January 2005.As an owner, Mr. Moore is responsible for completing or supervising projects from start to finish with additional business related duties and responsibilities from those of his roll while employed by Fike.
