Supplier Contracts & Legal Counsel
CurrentSupplier Contracts & Legal Counsel for MRO, Logistics and Indirect Global Categories.Principle roles and responsibilities:• Ensures and promotes compliance with SLB policies, standards, procedures, and contractual obligations.• Reviews and assesses the liabilities present in SLB Supplier Contracts to provide expert advice to SLB operations managers and management team and negotiate terms and conditions.• Collaborates with the Finance Department (including Tax), HSE, Sourcing & Procurement, Operations (or any other department/function) as appropriate, to ensure contractual and commercial risks and exposures are clearly identified, analyzed and properly addressed in contractual provisions.• Monitor active and expiring contracts, escalation opportunities, and contract owner assignment.• Manages and administers contract-related records and manages contract database data integrity related to their location/product line/category.• Ensures that Supplier Contracts for products and/or services signed in their location/product line/category comply with the Supply Chain Contracts Best Practices and Schlumberger contracting guidelines, accordingly.• Responsible for the supervision, management, orientation, and ongoing development of Contracts personnel in the assigned location/product line/category.• Promotes and conducts presentations and workshops related to contracting standards, processes and/or reviews the Contracts Function training and development initiatives.• Collaborates with the Legal Department in the performance of operations assurance reviews as needed.• Leads Contracts Function strategic initiatives.• Conducts periodic contractual audits to measure the level of contractual compliance at the location/product line/category as well as identifies areas of improvement.• Facilitates Post Award Contract Reviews including follow up of action items of Remedial Work Plans and contract closure process.
